The needs of a young family led the owners of this mid-century ranch home to approach us with a desire for more space while keeping the design in scale with the neighborhood.  Using the existing footprint, we transformed the home by replacing a tired rear addition, reconnecting the living space to the backyard, and creating a new second-floor den with kids' bedrooms.

We preserved the low-slung ranch look at the street but opened up the living spaces at the rear to enjoy the light and views of the lush landscape beyond. The kitchen and existing portion of the home were refreshed as part of a full renovation.
