Our clients loved the character of their Hyde Park bungalow but needed more room for the way they live today. We added on sensitively, setting a new primary suite and living space behind the original house so its street presence and the neighborhood’s modest scale remain intact.
Inside, we worked closely with our clients to bring their vision for the interiors to life. Limestone, hand-troweled plaster, arched openings and warm white oak create a calm, tactile backdrop that feels at home with the original house, while a generous new deck extends everyday living out into the shaded backyard.
